Who we are

Consult GH Ltd, trading as GH Consulting, is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. We are registered in England and Wales (company number 17448533). Our registered office is 12a Sandy Lane, Church Crookham, Fleet, England, GU52 8BF. You can contact us about this notice at george@ghconsulting.uk.

What information we collect

  • Enquiries. Through the enquiry form or by email: your name, email address, phone number (if you give one), the address of the site, and what you tell us about it and what you want to do.
  • Clients. If you become a client: the details we need to do the work and keep proper records, such as contact and billing details and information about the land and your plans for it.
  • Website data. Our website host, Netlify, processes your IP address and basic request details (such as the page requested and your browser type) when you visit, so that the site can be delivered and kept secure.
  • Landowners we write to. If we write to you about your land: your name (or “The Owner”), your postal address or, for companies, a work email address, and the address of the land. We take these from public sources such as HM Land Registry, Companies House and a company’s own website.

We do not ask for sensitive personal information (such as health or political views). Please do not include it in your message.

If we write to you

We sometimes write to landowners who may want planning advice about their land. We write by post. We may also email companies and other organisations that own land, where the law allows us to.

  • What we use. Your name (or “The Owner”), your postal address or, for companies, a work email address, and the address of the land.
  • Where we get it. From public sources, mainly HM Land Registry, Companies House and a company’s own website. Our letter or email tells you which one.
  • Why, and our legal basis. To offer our services to landowners. We rely on legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): contacting a landowner is a reasonable, low-intrusion way to do this, and we balance it against your rights.
  • How long we keep it. If you do not reply, we delete your details after 12 months. If you ask us to stop, we keep just your name and address on a suppression list so that we do not contact you again.
  • Your right to object. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time, and we will. Email george@ghconsulting.uk or use the contact form.
